Redwood City & North Fair Oaks COVID-19 Community Needs Assessment Survey Findings

Description:

The COVID-19 pandemic and corresponding economic and educational fallout have produced challenges for Redwood City and North Fair Oaks that span all aspects of residents' lives, most particularly for those who were already living paycheck to paycheck, relying on public assistance to meet their basic needs, and doubling-up in overcrowded living quarters. To inform and uplift recovery efforts, staff from Redwood City Together surveyed the community to identify which needs are the most pressing, who is struggling the most, and which community resources are the most critical. Gardner Center researchers supported their efforts by advising on survey development and analyzing the results.
These materials focus on results beginning with the March 2021 findings of the first survey. Additional materials will be released following subsequent waves of inquiry.
