Hannah Weissler

Graduate Research Assistant

Hannah Weissler is a graduate student in the Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies (POLS) program at Stanford's Graduate School of Education. As part of her field practicum project, she will support the Gardner Center's ongoing work with the Stanford Redwood City Sequoia School Mental Health Collaborative.

Initially, Hannah will support the district as it develops plans to implement a new mental health policy initiative. Then, she'll document the implementation by observing structures and processes, interviewing counselors about their experiences, and identifying what helps and hinders counselors in adapting to new roles and responsibilities.

Hannah is particularly excited to learn about how innovations, like the newly established Fee Schedule Program by the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative, can help counselors provide effective, sustainable services.

Hannah graduated magna cum laude from Scripps College with a degree in political science before enrolling in the POLS program. Prior to Stanford, she served as a post-baccalaureate fellow and improvement technology analyst at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and as a community school coordinator at the Thomas Edison Charter Academy.
