Cindy is a doctoral candidate at the Stanford Graduate School of Education, specializing in the programs of Developmental and Psychological Sciences (DAPS) and Learning Sciences and Technology Design (LSTD).  She is a recipient of the Technology for Equity in Learning Opportunities (TELOS) Doctoral Student Award, Amir Lopatin Fellowship, and Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education (EDGE) Doctoral Fellowship.  Before coming at Stanford, Cindy received her BS in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego, where she also conducted research investigating the neurodevelopment of reading skills in young children.  At Stanford, Cindy's current research uses mixed methods of social network analysis and qualitative interviewing to examine how social influences can support reading engagement in young children.
