Elena Elliott is a graduate student in the Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies program at the Graduate School of Education. Her academic focus centers around early childhood education and community schools. Before coming to Stanford, Elena was a Kindergarten Teacher/Teach for America Corps Member. She taught for three years at Education for Change in Oakland and at KIPP Excelencia in Redwood City for one year. Though born in Dallas, Texas, Elena is a Bay Area transplant and hopes to continue working in Bay Area schools after Stanford.
